Technology reviews & practical guides
Our 2026 Pitch review covers Pitch Agent, the new Free, Plus, Team and Business plans from €10 to €20 per seat per month on annual billing, AI credit costs, PowerPoint import and export limits, EU data hosting and Pitch's strict no-refund terms.

Pitch has spent 2026 rebuilding itself around AI. Pitch Agent arrived in May, an MCP server and public API in August and the agent-powered Anything block in October. Meanwhile the old Pro plan was replaced by five tiers that come with AI credit allowances.
This review covers what those plans cost, how far the AI credits go, what survives a PowerPoint round trip, where your data lives and why the refund terms deserve a careful read before you pay.
Pitch is a collaborative presentation app from Berlin. You build decks in the browser, the desktop apps for macOS and Windows, or the iPhone and Android apps, and share them as links rather than files. It sits between Google Slides, which is free and familiar, and the AI-first deck generators such as Gamma and Beautiful.ai.
The company behind it is smaller than it used to be. In January 2024 Pitch switched CEO and laid off about two-thirds of its staff. Co-founder and CTO Adam Renklint became CEO, and Christian Reber kept a board seat. Pitch had raised more than $130 million at a $600 million valuation in 2021 and returned unspent cash to investors. Its about page now describes a team of almost 50 and still lists Renklint as CEO.
A smaller team has not meant a frozen product. The changelog shows Pitch Agent on May 27, 2026, teamspaces and SCIM on June 30, an MCP server and public API on August 12, and the agent-powered Anything block on October 6. The terms of use and privacy policy were both updated on October 19, 2026. This is an actively maintained product, not one being wound down.
Pitch Agent is the center of the 2026 rebuild. It builds a deck from a prompt, any files you upload as context, and a template you choose, then stays open in a chat panel next to the slide rail so you can keep editing by asking for changes.

Pitch does not train or host its own models. Text and reasoning go to Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, with some Anthropic models served through AWS Bedrock in the EU, and image generation and editing go to fal.ai. Pitch says presentation data is not used to train AI models, and workspace admins can turn Pitch AI off for everyone.
The Anything block, added on October 6, 2026, puts the agent inside a single slide element: you describe what the block should show and Pitch Agent fills it. The MCP server at mcp.pitch.com/mcp and the public API let outside assistants work with your decks, and the help center has dedicated guides for the Claude and ChatGPT connectors. The pricing table lists Pitch MCP and Pitch API, but we could not confirm which plans include them, so check with Pitch before you buy a plan for that.
The old Pro plan is gone. Pitch now sells five tiers, priced in euros. The figures below are per paid seat per month on annual billing, which Pitch says saves 17%. Monthly billing costs more, and we could not read Pitch's own monthly figures, so we do not quote them.
You pay for editors: the owner, admins and creators. Commenters and guests do not take up paid seats, seats added mid-cycle are charged pro rata, and subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle.
The Free plan has real limits beyond AI. Images are capped at 5MB each against up to 1GB on paid plans, storage is 10GB for the whole workspace against 10GB per member in the paid columns of the pricing table, and PDF exports and embeds carry Pitch branding. There is no version history on Free or Plus.
Plus allows just one member. If two people need to edit the same decks, the realistic entry point is Team at €15 per seat per month on annual billing.
Every Pitch Agent action spends AI credits, so the allowance decides how much you can generate before you pay extra. The allowances are:
On Team and Business, the per-seat allowances add up to one pool shared by the whole workspace. A five-seat Team workspace gets 2,500 credits a month, and one heavy user can spend most of them. Admins can switch on extra credits at $0.004 each, which comes to $4 per 1,000. Note the currency mix: plans are priced in euros, while extra credits are priced in US dollars.

The Free plan's 100 credits are enough to judge whether Pitch Agent suits you, but not enough to use it for ongoing work. Budget for Plus or Team if the agent is the reason you are choosing Pitch.
Pitch imports PowerPoint .pptx files, including decks exported to that format from Apple Keynote and Google Slides. There is no direct Google Slides import: export to PPTX first, then use the importer.

Some parts of a deck do not come through. Header and footer elements, custom fonts, videos, transitions and animations, and images in .emf format are not imported. Plan to rebuild those by hand, and upload your fonts again if you are on a paid plan that supports custom fonts.
PPTX export is a premium feature, and on paid plans the exported file carries no Pitch branding. Uploaded videos, recordings and animations are dropped from the exported file. PDF export comes in compressed and high-quality versions, and Free plan PDFs carry a small Pitch watermark.

The Plus plan card and the paid-plans help article both list unbranded PPTX export, but Pitch's comparison table marks PowerPoint export only for Team and Business. If PPTX export is the reason you are upgrading, confirm it with Pitch before paying for Plus.
Pitch is hosted on Amazon Web Services, and its data servers are in Ireland in the eu-west-1 region. That suits European teams with data-location requirements. The privacy policy says some data goes to technical service providers in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses, and that LLM-based tools may be used for presentation generation.
Read the refund terms before you pay. Section 8.2 of the terms of use, last updated on October 19, 2026, says all fees are net of taxes such as VAT and are "non-cancelable and non-refundable". If you cancel, any unused credits expire immediately and cannot be refunded or carried over to a future contract.
There is no standard self-serve free trial. Pitch says trials are available to some customers depending on their needs, through support. For most buyers the Free plan is the way to try Pitch first.
Cancelling happens in the billing settings, and you must pick a cancellation reason to continue. Paid features stay on until the end of the current billing cycle. The workspace then drops back to the Free plan: new PDF exports get the Pitch watermark again and PowerPoint export is no longer available. Under the terms, a paid plan with no other stated term runs month to month and renews automatically for another month unless it is cancelled in text form.

Pitch's strength is that its AI produces ordinary, fully editable decks inside a collaborative editor, with link analytics and EU hosting included. Gamma and Beautiful.ai are built around generating decks first, and Canva is a general design suite in which presentations are one format among many. If AI generation or broad design work matters more to you than team editing and tracked links, read our Gamma, Beautiful.ai, Tome and Canva reviews before choosing.
The drawbacks are the strict no-refund terms, Enterprise-only SSO, a SOC 2 report that is Type I only, and PowerPoint round-trips that drop fonts, videos and animations. A team of almost 50 also cannot match the support depth of Microsoft, Google or Canva.
Pitch suits startups, sales teams and agencies that build decks together, share them as links and want to know who opened them. At €15 per seat per month on annual billing, Team is the plan most groups will need. Business at €20 is worth it for unlimited version history, advanced links and teamspaces.
Solo users should start on Free and move to Plus only once they know which export features they need. Organizations that need SAML SSO must budget for Enterprise and its 30-seat minimum. Whatever the plan, treat the first payment as final, because Pitch does not issue refunds.
Pitch costs €0 on Free, €10 per month on Plus, €15 per seat per month on Team and €20 per seat per month on Business, all on annual billing. Monthly billing costs more, because annual billing saves 17%. Enterprise is priced on request and starts at 30 seats.
No. Pitch's terms say all fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable, and unused AI credits expire when you cancel. After you cancel, paid features stay on until the end of the billing cycle.
Not as standard. Pitch offers trials to some customers through support, depending on their needs. The Free plan, with up to 5 members and 100 lifetime AI credits, is the usual way to try it.
Yes, but only via PowerPoint. Export the deck to .pptx and then use Pitch's importer. Custom fonts, videos, animations, headers and footers, and .emf images are not imported.
PowerPoint export is a paid feature. Team and Business include it. The Plus plan card lists it too, but the comparison table does not, so confirm with Pitch before buying Plus for PPTX export. Videos, recordings and animations are dropped from exported files.
Pitch stores data on AWS servers in Ireland, in the eu-west-1 region. It sends AI requests to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and fal.ai, and says presentation data is not used to train AI models. Admins can switch AI off for the whole workspace.
On paid plans, an admin can enable extra credits at $0.004 each, or $4 per 1,000. Free plan credits are a one-time allowance of 100 that does not renew.
Only on Enterprise. SAML-based SSO and SCIM provisioning require the Enterprise plan, which has a 30-seat minimum.
