Brandmark review: an AI logo maker sold for a one-time $35, $95 or $195. What each package includes, the 2025 price rise, Looka comparison, copyright and refund fine print.

Brandmark is an AI logo maker that does something increasingly rare: it sells your logo and brand assets for a single payment, with no subscription. You can generate and preview as many logos as you like for free, then pay $35, $95 or $195 once to download.
That pitch is strong, but it hides a few things worth knowing before you pay. Prices rose across the board in 2025, the site publishes no refund policy even though its terms refer to one, and the "full copyright included" promise is a marketing line rather than a clause in the terms. This review covers what each package actually includes, how it compares with Looka, and who should buy which tier.
Brandmark (brandmark.io) generates logos from a business name, a few keywords and a colour style, then lets you edit the result and export it along with matching brand material. Its pricing page sums up the model in one line: "Buy it for life. One simple price."
The tool has been around for years. Its Font Generator and Logo Rank tools launched on Product Hunt in August 2017, and Brandmark V2 launched in March 2018 as "The deep learning logo maker", finishing as the day's top product. Third-party coverage such as Hongkiat names Jack Qiao as its creator; Brandmark itself does not say who runs it.
Today the main app lives at chat.brandmark.io, billed as an "AI brand and logo creator". Alongside it, Brandmark offers free side tools: an AI Color Wheel, Logo Rank (which scores a logo design), Logo Crunch (which resizes a logo for different uses) and a Font Generator.
The classic flow has three steps: enter your business name, enter a few related keywords, and choose a colour style. You can add an optional tagline. Brandmark then returns a grid of logo concepts, and you can keep generating as many as you want without paying or creating an account.
The newer chat editor changes how you refine a design. Instead of hunting through menus, you describe the change in plain language. Brandmark's own example is "Can you put the icon on a hexagonal container, change the text to green, and also remove the tagline", and the editor answers with a revised version. You can still tap or click text to edit it directly, and the editor works on both mobile and desktop.

Brandmark says it mixes "Gen AI + Human inspiration": you can use its hand-crafted fonts and templates, or create a unique icon with generative AI. Once you settle on a logo, the same editor produces business cards, social media graphics, animations and a one-page website from it.
The older app at app.brandmark.io/v3 is still online, and its checkout code still carries pre-2025 prices, including a discounted Designer package. If you land there from an old link, check the price shown at checkout against the pricing page before you pay.
There are three packages, all one-time payments in US dollars. The pricing page promises "No monthly charges. Pay once, get access to our branding tools forever."
Every package comes with what the pricing page calls "Full copyright included - for use in commercial and personal projects", and Brandmark says you can modify your logo at any time, even after purchase. If you need a tweak you cannot make yourself, it says, "We'll do it for you, absolutely free."

The homepage says you can publish online or export to SVG, PNG and PDF. Basic is described as "PNG and vector format". Brandmark does not state pixel dimensions for its PNGs and does not mention EPS anywhere, so if a printer specifically asks for EPS, plan on converting from the SVG or PDF.
The jump from $35 to $95 is where most of the value sits. Beyond the source files, the homepage lists the Designer assets as a brand guide, one-page websites, social profile icons, business card designs, animated designs, invoice templates, mockup designs, social media designs and presentation templates. The pricing page does not say whether the one-page website includes hosting or a custom domain, so treat it as a design you publish rather than a hosting plan.

If you remember Brandmark as a $25 logo maker, you are not wrong. Archived copies of the pricing page from February 2024 through June 2025 show Basic at $25, Designer at $65 and Enterprise at $175. The current $35, $95 and $195 prices first appear in an October 2025 snapshot, so the rise happened somewhere between June and October 2025.

The increases came with more in each package, and the Basic change is the most useful one: a vector file is what you need for anything printed large. Brandmark's terms also state that prices are "subject to change without notice", so the figures above are only guaranteed for the day you check out.
Looka is the obvious alternative, and the two take opposite approaches to brand material. In our Looka review we found a Basic logo package at $20 once, a Premium package at $65 once, and a Brand Kit subscription at $96 a year that adds 300+ branded templates. Brand Kit Web costs $129 a year and Brand Kit Web Ecommerce $299 a year.

In short: if you want a logo and a starter set of brand files and never want another bill, Brandmark Designer is the better deal. If you need a large library of templates and a hosted website, and you are fine paying every year, Looka's Brand Kit gives you more. Read the full Looka review at /looka-review for its plan details.
The copyright promise appears on the pricing page, but Brandmark's Terms of Service, last updated in January 2023, say nothing about who owns the logo, whether it is exclusive to you, how AI-generated elements are treated, or how the fonts and icons are licensed. The marketing line is the only ownership statement on the site.
The terms do make you responsible for one thing: you agree to indemnify Brandmark against "any trademark or copyright violations made accidentally or deliberately through the use of our products or services." In practice, Brandmark does not check whether your logo clashes with an existing trademark. If you plan to register yours, run a trademark search first.
The terms say products are "subject to return or exchange only according to our Return Policy", but there is no return or refund policy page anywhere on the site. The terms also state Brandmark does not warrant that products "will meet your expectations". There is no help centre or FAQ either; support is a single email address, [email protected].
Generating and previewing is unlimited and free, so settle on a design you are happy with before you buy. If you have refund questions, email [email protected] first and get the answer in writing. And check that the checkout price matches the pricing page.
One more oddity: the governing-law clause reads "the laws of 8888 University Drive, Burnaby, BC, V5A 1S6, Canada" - an address rather than a jurisdiction. It does not change what you buy, but it shows how little attention the terms have had.
Brandmark costs $35, $95 or $195, each a one-time payment. Basic gives you the logo in PNG and vector format, Designer adds source files and brand assets, and Enterprise adds hand-crafted concepts and the font download.
Yes, designing is free. You can generate unlimited logos and try the editor without an account; you only pay when you want to download a package.
No. All three packages are one-time payments, and Brandmark says you keep access to its branding tools for that logo forever, including editing after purchase.
Brandmark does not publish a refund policy. Its terms refer to a Return Policy that does not exist on the site, so contact [email protected] before buying if a refund matters to you.
Brandmark's pricing page says full copyright is included for commercial and personal use. The terms of service do not repeat that promise or address exclusivity, and they make you liable for trademark conflicts, so run a trademark search before registering the logo.
You get PNG and vector files, and the editor exports to SVG, PNG and PDF. Brandmark does not mention EPS or state PNG pixel sizes.
Only with the $195 Enterprise package, which is the one tier that lists a font download. Basic and Designer include the logo but not the typeface itself.
For a logo with brand assets, usually yes. Brandmark Designer is $95 once, while Looka's Brand Kit is $96 every year. For a bare logo, Looka Basic is cheaper at $20, but it is a single PNG without vector files.
More in Artificial Intelligence
Browse Artificial IntelligenceEnterprise doubles the price of Designer for two things: up to 10 original concepts hand-crafted by Brandmark's design team, and the font download. The font matters more than it looks. Only Enterprise lists the typeface as a download, so on Basic or Designer you get the logo with its lettering but not the font itself to reuse on your website, signage or packaging.
