DeepAI Pro doubled to $9.99 a month in 2026. We break down the Free and Pro allowances, overage rates, frontier chat models and the privacy policy terms.

DeepAI is one of the oldest names in consumer AI. It put a text-to-image generator in the browser in late 2016, and in 2026 it sells an all-in-one subscription: chat with frontier models, images, short video, songs, voice chat and a coding agent, all under one plan.
The first thing to know is the price. DeepAI Pro cost $4.99 a month through the end of 2025 and now costs $9.99, yet many reviews still quote the old figure. This review covers what $9.99 buys today, where the Free tier stops, what overage costs, and the privacy policy lines worth reading before you upload anything.
DeepAI is run by Deep AI, Inc. The company says it got its start in late 2016 "with the first browser-based text-to-image generator", and co-founder and CEO Kevin Baragona has said it incorporated as a business the following year. The image generator is still there, and it still works without an account ("no sign-up required"), but it is now one tool among many.
Today deepai.org bundles these products under one login and one subscription:

The pitch is breadth at a low price rather than depth in any one area. That makes the pricing and allowance details more important than usual, because each feature is rationed separately.
There are only two plans. Free costs $0 and needs no account balance. Pro costs $9.99 a month, or $89.99 a year paid up front, which works out to $7.50 a month. The pricing page also shows $119.88 crossed out next to the yearly plan; that is just 12 x $9.99 for comparison, not a price anyone pays. Yearly saves $29.89, about 25%.
That price is double what DeepAI charged in 2025. Every archived snapshot of the pricing page from January 13 to December 1, 2025 shows Pro at $4.99 a month or $45 a year. The January 5, 2026 snapshot shows $9.99 and $89.99. DeepAI did not publish a change date, so all we can say is that it happened around the turn of the year. Many reviews still quote $4.99, so check the date on anything you read.

The allowances grew a little alongside the price. Standard chat messages went from 1,750 to 2,000 a month, the 2K "Hollywood" video allowance went from one video to 8 seconds, and Concierge, the Website Builder and DeepAI Code were added. The music overage rate also rose, from 5 cents per song in August 2025 to 10 cents now.
Allowances refresh monthly from the day you subscribed, on both monthly and yearly billing, so an annual subscriber does not get a year's allowance at once. DeepAI says every model is included in Pro and nothing is sold separately. It also promises a price lock: you renew at the rate you first paid.
DeepAI's chat is a front end to many third-party models, grouped into three tiers. The lineup below is what the pricing page listed at the time of writing; it changes often.

The headline is access to frontier models such as Claude Opus 5.5, Gemini 3.1 Pro and GPT-6 Astra for $9.99. The catch is volume: Pro includes only 30 Super Genius messages a month, roughly one a day. After that each extra Super Genius message costs about 6 cents from the wallet. If you plan to use top-tier models daily, a first-party subscription from the model maker will usually give you far more of them.
Pro's 2,000-message pool and 250 Genius messages are more generous for everyday use, and memory plus automatic web access make the chat more useful than the Free version. DeepAI says memory is private to your account and can be turned off or cleared at any time.
The image generator is still DeepAI's best-known tool. HD mode is available on Free and offers more than 100 styles. Genius mode produces more detailed images up to 1024x1024, and Super Genius renders in 2K; both need Pro. With Pro you get 500 HD images a month but only 10 Super Genius images, so the 2K mode is for occasional final renders rather than iteration.

Video is Pro-only. The 25 seconds of HD video and 8 seconds of 2K Hollywood Mode a month amount to a handful of short clips; extra seconds cost 20 cents (HD) or 30 cents (2K) each. DeepAI's docs also state that "by uploading to the video generator, you give DeepAI the right to share the image and video publicly", which rules it out for anything confidential.
Music is the most generous allowance: 100 songs a month on Pro, with limited free generation on the Free plan. Songs can include vocals and lyrics.
The AI Image Detector is worth a caveat. DeepAI's own docs say its results "are probabilistic and should not be treated as definitive proof". Third-party press releases from February 2026 describe a detection partnership with TruthScan, though deepai.org itself does not name the partner.
Anything beyond the Pro allowance is paid from a prepaid wallet. Top-ups run from $5 to $1,000 as one-time purchases, with optional auto top-up, by Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Google Pay or Apple Pay. The wallet is not available on Free.

Auto top-up is convenient but is the setting most likely to surprise you on a card statement, especially with video at 20 to 30 cents a second. Leave it off until you know your usage.
The API also needs Pro. There is no separate per-call price list: API generations draw from the same monthly allowance and then from the wallet. Video API calls are billed per second, only completed videos are billed, and output is available for one hour.
This is the section to read before uploading anything personal. DeepAI's privacy policy, last updated April 18, 2026, says it uses information "to train our artificial intelligence models" and that you can opt out through the "Your Privacy Choices" link.
It goes further than most AI tools. The policy states: "We also sell Identifiers and User Content to Other Third Parties for their own business and commercial purposes", and that DeepAI may "license certain information to third parties for their own business and commercial purposes, including training artificial intelligence models." Prompts and uploads are collected, data is stored on servers in the United States, and retention is "as long as necessary".
Use the Your Privacy Choices link to opt out of training. Do not upload client files, faces of people who have not agreed, or anything confidential, particularly to the video generator, whose uploads DeepAI may share publicly. Pro adds private generations.
Ownership language is inconsistent across the site. The Terms of Service (last updated September 19, 2025) say "You own all right, title, and interest in and to the User Content" but also that all generated content is "free of copyright". The image generator page promises you keep "100% of the rights" even on Free, yet also says generated images "are considered public domain and hence, they have no owner." Both documents agree that commercial use is allowed. In practice, assume you can use DeepAI output commercially but cannot stop others from reusing it.
DeepAI is easy to try. The image generator needs no account, and Free covers casual chat and image use. On Trustpilot it held a 3.8 TrustScore from 373 reviews when we checked.
Pro makes sense for hobbyists and small creators who want to dabble in many AI media types at once and value variety over volume. It is a poor fit for heavy users of one capability, who will get more from a dedicated tool, and for anyone handling sensitive or client data, given the privacy terms.
DeepAI Pro costs $9.99 a month or $89.99 a year, which is $7.50 a month on annual billing. DeepAI says you renew at the price you first paid.
Because that was the 2025 price. Pro was $4.99 a month or $45 a year until around the turn of the year, and by January 5, 2026 it had changed to $9.99 and $89.99.
Yes, with limits. The Free plan includes limited standard chat, HD images, music and photo editing, plus 60 seconds a day of voice chat, and the image generator works without an account. DeepAI does not publish the other Free caps.
No. The subscription is marked non-refundable and we found no free trial. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard and keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Yes, according to its privacy policy. DeepAI trains its models on user information unless you opt out via Your Privacy Choices, and says it sells identifiers and user content to third parties.
Yes. Both the Terms of Service and the image generator page allow commercial use, including on Free. The same pages describe output as free of copyright or public domain, so you may not be able to stop others from reusing it.
No. Video is Pro-only, with 25 seconds of HD video and 8 seconds of 2K video a month, and extra seconds billed at 20 or 30 cents from the wallet.
Not separately, but it requires Pro. API calls draw from your monthly Pro allowance first and then from your prepaid wallet at the same overage rates.
More in Artificial Intelligence
Browse Artificial IntelligenceFree gets "limited" standard chat, "limited" HD images and editing, "limited" music, a limited photo editor, DeepAI Code with free models, and 60 seconds a day of AI Voice Chat. That voice figure is the only number DeepAI publishes for the Free tier; the other caps are not disclosed. Free has no Genius or Super Genius modes, no video, no Concierge, no memory or live web browsing, no wallet, and shows ads.
The subscribe dialog says Pro "renews automatically until canceled" and is "non-refundable". We found no free trial. You can cancel any time from the dashboard and keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
